Country Style Green Beans
3 slices thick cut bacon, chopped
1/2 onion, sliced thin
1 lb green beans, trimmed
s/p, garlic pwd to taste (I guess I do around 1/2 tsp ea of the pepper and garlic, the salt may need none it all depends on your bacon)

Cook the bacon over gentle heat until you’ve rendered and drained off about 3T of grease. Then add onions and cook until onions are soft and bacon is crisp. Add beans and 1/2 c water and seasonings, put on a lid a simmer until beans are fork tender.
